Users with variable membership who have the Allow User to Set Membership on Login without RAC permission can sign in, select their membership units and clusters for the day, and then later sign out, sign in again, and select different units and clusters. This gives them access to patient, job, and bed information in those units and clusters. This might occur when transporters, bed cleaners, or supervisors with variable membership are needed in units or clusters that they did not originally select when signing in for the day.

 

However, users with variable membership who do NOT have the Allow User to Set Membership on Login without RAC permission must call a supervisor or administrator and request a Re-Assignment Authorization Code (or RAC). They must enter the RAC when they are signing in and plan to select different units and clusters.
